Born a gay man, so Virgin America is the perfect airline for me LOL

"Dawn" Dish Detergent

Pretty ironic "Dawn" has all these ads about how wonderful they are to wildlife, but meanwhile they are notorious for their cruel, disgusting, unnecessary animal testing on bunnies, dogs, etc. Not to mention all the chemicals used in their products which pollute our waterways in the manufacturing and home use. Just sayin. Ok, now it's back to tons of work - making progress tho!

9/11 and Personal Progress

Also - making a TON of progress on the first of my 2 major creative, very challenging projects - still a ways to go, but getting there... Like many people, I have a lot of other responsibilities & things continually coming up, so it's a juggling act lol. I think I've also become better at not "beating myself up" over not doing things the way "everyone else" does it - on the same timeline. I am my own person. It's taken me a long-ass time, but now I have a better sense of doing "whatever it takes" to get my accomplishments done - and do my best to get in my 8 hours of sleep...

Music to Focus to...

So, now I'm "blogging" when it's not a major holiday weekend and someone might actually read them lol -?!

Here's what I have time for today:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRhoWQX2OF8

Maybe I'm not the only one in the world amidst heavy projects (ie lots of sit-down work and focus, etc..), so figured I'd share this cool, 4 hours+ centering "

RELAX MUSIC MEDITATION - RELAXAMENTO MUSIC MEDITAÇ.."

Yeah, that's sorta the title.
Enjoy and Happy Working (LORD, LET IT BE DONE SOON... )

CRAZY uses for GRAPEFRUITS!!!

I used to hate - I mean HATE grapefruits -! Then I found myself visiting the East Coast and couldn't find any good pickled ginger that didn't have saccharine/aspartame (YES that add that garbage to it rather than sugar sometimes!!!)...

Long story shorter, I tried using grapefruit as my new tangy/sweet fix and got into the habit of ripping off the peel and slicing the inside up into smaller pieces/cubes - I eat it as is - no sugar added - try it, you might love it/find it uber-refreshing:)

MY routine evolved to the point of using the leftover juice all over my face (as an anti-oxidant -? I don't know!) as well as poured into my water as Grapefruit "Boba" - really delicious "Spa" drink - the bobas have lil fruit "explosions" lol. I use the peels for everything from utensil holders to sponges for clean-ups. Of course, all are bio-degradable, smell-great and all-around refreshing. From what I've read, Grapefruits cut the calories of whatever you're eating afterwards, like, in half or something like that - total super-food. Then they're highly alkaline, etc. - whatever it is - it PREVENTS me from having ANY ACID DIGESTION from anything I eat after that - for MOST OF THE DAY. CRAAA-ZY! Plus, it's just totally a super-food in general - you can http://www.goodsearch.com/ it (and raise $ for your fave charity:).

That's all I didn't have time for! Happy Grapefruit Adventures lol!!!

Jackie:)

Park Yoga for Germaphobes

Took me about ELEVEN hours to make headway on my first project yesterday - was up til 2 am. This is red-tape, paperwork stuff that HAS to get done. I'm confident that, once out of the way, it'll help free up my mind to work on the #2 project which is much more creative! :) YES, i have MORE projects after that -!

I'm really trying to do one blog a day - perhaps this will help break up all the work i'm doing - ?

Anyway, I'm a park yoga junkie. Yes, we are SPOILED ROTTEN in so cal in soooo many ways - this is one of them. there are various (mostly free) park and even beach yoga classes taught outside here (!).

As an admitted "Germaphobe" I feel that traditionally rolling up your mat spreads all the dirt from the bottom all over the clean part (where you sometimes put your face -!). So I fold mine in such a way that only the clean part touches the clean part (!). Here are some pics.

Also helpful is to do yoga on TWO mats next to each other - this way you don't ever have to let your hands/feet touch the possibly-pesticided, dog pee-laden ground!

Hope you're having a SUPER-FUN, SAFE holiday.

Xxo,
Jak :)
